GARY A. NELSON

Gary A. Nelson, age 64, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on July 3, 2018.

Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Grace Baptist Church, 850 SW Highway 150, Lee's Summit, Missouri, 64082.
A Private burial with Military Honors will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.

Gary was born on April 13, 1954, in Denver, Colorado. Gary, a triplet, was the son of Robert Nelson and Eleanora (Bledden) Nelson.

On November 22, 1972, Gary entered into the United States Air Force and proudly served his country.

Gary was united in marriage with Cathy Harris on April 28, 1990. Together, Gary and Cathy shared over 28 years of marriage.

In 1994, Gary graduated from Maple Woods Community College, where he received his Associates Degree in Computers & Electronics.

Gary was employed as a Maintenance Technician for Sioux Chief Manufacturing in Harrisonville, Missouri.

In his spare time, Gary enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eleanora Nelson; his sister, Marian L. Generaux (2014).

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Nelson; children, Amanda Csukker (Jerad), Travis Harris, Brittany Owsley (David); grandchildren, Elana, Ean, Wyatt, Kara, Caleb, and Charlotte; siblings, Eddie Washburn, James Nelson, William Nelson, Richard Nelson, Karleen Washburn, Margarett Wallet, Cherrlyn Generaux, Helen Washburn, and Judith Biswell; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
