FRED G. MASTERS

Fred G. Masters, age 81, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2017, surrounded by the love of his son and family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Visitation will take place an hour prior to service time. Interment will be held in Belton Cemetery.

Fred was born May 19, 1936 in Edgerton, Kansas, the youngest child of Fred Henry and Sarah (Stewart) Masters.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Carol Ann (Cox) Masters; his brother, Herbert J. Masters; his sons, Fredrick Ray Masters and Ted Duane Masters; his grandson, Jacob A. Masters.

He is survived by his sister Bessie June (Becky Masters) Williams (Shawnee, KS); children, Scott J. Masters (Raymore, MO), Traci Masters (Raymore, MO), Patricia Porter (Sallisaw, OK); 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Fred was employed by Western Electric/AT&T working in the purchasing department of over 35 years until retirement. After retirement from AT&T, Fred successfully ran his own plumbing business until the late 2000's. He loved his family and spending time at his cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks. He loved nice cars, watching Nascar and various types of car racing. Harley Davidson motorcycles were one of his passions which included trips to Sturgis, Colorado, Daytona, FL amongst many others. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
