FRANK R. KARAS

Frank R. Karas, age 92, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 310 Johnston Pkwy, Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Frank will then be laid to rest at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri.

Frank was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 17, 1930 to Frank A. Karas and Pauline (Vana) Karas. After high school, Frank honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Sargent in the Korean War from August 28, 1951 to July 3, 1953. In the fall of 1957, he was joined in marriage with his wife, Donna Mae Bohlmann on September 15th. He worked for forty-nine years for Sutherland Lumber Co. In life, Frank loved attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, woodworking, and watching the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pauline Karas; son, Michael Karas; and two brothers, Richard and Robert Karas.

Here to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixty five years, Donna Karas; three children, Jeffrey Karas, Debra Krahenbuhl (husband Kris), and Shannon Coomes (husband Mike); four grandchildren, Bret Krahenbuhl, Scot Krahenbuhl, Michael Coomes, and Samantha Coomes; and two great grandchildren, Harper and Olivia Krahenbuhl.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church as addressed above.
