FRANCES G. GORE
Frances G. Gore, age 97, of Raymore, MO, passed away at Foxwoods Springs surrounded by family on March 25, 2016. Funeral service will be at 12 PM, with visitation at 11 AM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, MO. Internment will be in Belton Cemetery, Belton, MO.
Frances was born January 15, 1919 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Wilda (Debus) McNerney. She graduated in 1936 from Wyandotte High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cudahy Meat Packing Co. and later spent more than 15 years working with Fleetwood Chevrolet in Belton, MO.
She married Francis C. Gore in 1944. They lived in Belton and retired on the family farm in Raymore. As well as being a loving mother and wife, she was a Worthy Matron of the Elizabeth Chapter Order of Eastern Star, a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the High Blue Extension Club, the Raymore Historical Society, and of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was also a longtime member of the Belton United Methodist Church. She was cherished for her amazing cooking, gardening, and quilting skills.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, William McNerney, and son in-law, Robert D. Avery. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia L. Gore of Lee's Summit and Dr. Kathleen Gore Avery of St. Charles, and two grandchildren, Matthew Avery (Cecilia) and Julia Avery.
