ETHEL "JUNE" MOSBY
Ethel "June" Mosby, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully with family at her side, November 16, 2017, at Foxwood Springs, in Raymore, Missouri.
She was born June 27, 1926, to Harry and Alma Davis. Those who knew her loved her warm heart, optimism, and gentle soul.
She was a member of the Raymore Christian Church and participated in Vespers. She was married to Jack Mosby; the sailor who won her heart for a lifetime. She was the nurturing mother of David L. Mosby (Virginia), Deborah S. Ferguson (Michael), Thomas K. Mosby (Frances), and Linda G. Frey (David).
She was an accomplished seamstress, adventurous cook, endeared neighbor, and respected executive assistant.
With the responsibilities of raising a family in the military, she embraced change, the new adventure it brought, and the friendships she developed from coast to coast.
She and Jack enjoyed retirement in the Tri-lakes area of southern Missouri in excess of 15 years before moving to Raymore.
She enriched the lives of family and friends while also enjoying music, dancing, backgammon, travel, reading, and technology.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, of 70 years; and 3 siblings, Robert Davis, Floyd Davis, and Alice Schaller.
She is survived and loved by all of her children, as well as 9 grandchildren, Jessica Lucke (Jay), Matthew Mosby (Emily), Veronica Mosby, Michael "Micki" Brennan (Chris), Karen Ferguson, Davis Mosby (Rosalind), Frances "F.E." Quiles (Thomas), Tracy Hull (Beau Graves), and Katherine "Katy" Smith (Matthew); and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Bromwell Lounge at Foxwood Springs Living Center, Raymore, MO.
Memorial donations may be given to the Fellowship of John c/o Foxwood Springs 1500 W Foxwood Dr., Raymore, MO 64083.
