ETHEL R. DILLON

Ethel R. Dillon, age 83, of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 8, 2021.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Following visitation will be a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ethel was born in West Wyoming, Pennsylvania on November 14, 1937 to James Farrell and Sarah (Gardner) Farrell. After graduating high school Ethel served her country in the United States Navy Reserves for two years. She was joined in marriage with her husband James Dillon and together they were blessed with three children. Ethel was an over the road truck driver for fifteen years. However, Ethel's full time job was a housewife, taking care of her family. In life she loved to travel, read, listen to music, and dance.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sarah Farrell; two sisters, Sally Elliot and Earlene Gardiner; and two brothers, Jimmy Farrell and Jack Farrell.

Ethel leaves behind her loving husband, James Dillon; son James Dillon; two daughters, Theresa Reilly (Anthony) and Bridgette Gregory (Jim); three sisters, Mary Jeanne Higdon, Roberta Green (Frosty), and Sheila Agustini; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph, 4001 Blue Pkwy #250, Kansas City, Missouri 64130.
