ESTHER V. HOLIMAN
Esther V. Holiman, age 94, of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 1, 2017 at Carmel Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Independence, Missouri.
Esther was born March 14, 1922 in Monegaw Springs, Missouri. She was the daughter of Andrew and Beulah (Barker) Smith. During World War II, Esther worked as a riveter for the Kansas City B-25 Factory in the Fairfax industrial district. After the war, Esther went on to work for Armco Steel.
On November 29, 1955 Esther was married to William E. Holiman and together they shared 60 years of marriage until his death on March 25, 2010.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Beulah Smith; her husband, William E. Holiman; grandson, Jerry D. Epperson; four brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her son, Jerry L. Epperson (Judy); two grandchildren, Gary and Troy Epperson; five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; her two sisters, Dorothy Hart and Daisy Swafford.
