ERNEST E. HARRIS

Ernest E. Harris, age 85, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

A celebration of Ernest's life will be held with a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Born in Hollywood, California on June 12, 1934 Ernest was the son of Orloff Harris and Sara (Bivens) Harris. One of six children, Ernest had two sisters, Eva and Doris, and three brothers, Clyde, Jack, and David. After graduating high school Ernest created a very successful career for himself as Machine Technician for AT&T. Ernest worked for the company for thirty-five years. In the summer of 1989, Ernest was joined in marriage with his loving wife Linda (Holbrook) Harris on June 5th. He was blessed with six children, Deric, Danny, Randy, Sandy, Dino, and Mark. In life Ernest very much enjoyed mushroom hunting, bowling, and golfing.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Orloff Marvin Harris and Sara E. Harris; son Deric and Dino Harris; two brothers, Clyde M. Harris, Jack L. Harris, and sister Eva Mae Harris.

He is survived by his loving wife of over thirty years, Linda K. Harris; three sons, Danny Harris (Elizabeth), Randy Harris, and Mark Evans (Tony Patterson); daughter Sandy Harris; brother David Harris (Joyce); sister Doris Jane Brandon; three grandchildren, Nick Kunkel (Heather), Brandi Harris, and Bobbie Sue Nichols (Travis); and six great grandchildren.
