ERMA MAY ULRICH

Erma May Ulrich, age 90, of Belton, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 6, 2024.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Red Bridge Baptist Church 4901 E. Red Bridge Rd, Kansas City, Missouri 64137. A private family graveside at Independence Cemetery in Hume, Missouri.

Erma was born in Hume, Missouri on February 4, 1934, the daughter of Harold Swickhamer and Ethel Boyd. Shortly after graduating high school, Erma met the love of her life, Albert James Ulrich and they later married on September 5, 1955. Together they were blessed with two daughters, Diana and Deanna. Erma was a woman of strong faith. She was a member of the Red Bridge Baptist Church and an Awana ministry leader. Erma also spent time sewing dresses for Haiti Home of Hope. She was loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed by all.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ethel Swickhamer, and her sister, Bonnie Morgan.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Albert James "Jim" Ulrich; two daughters, Diana Robertson (Ron) and Deanna Marx (Ron); siblings, Norma Morgan, Marion Swickhamer, Marvin Swickhamer (Kay), and Merle Swickhamer (Carol); five grandchildren, Chase Robertson (Shannon), Charissa Robertson, Chance Robertson (Natalie), Mandalynne Bermudez, and Colton Bermudez; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia.
