ELIZABETH JEAN GUENTHER

Elizabeth Jean Guenther, age 86, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Abundant Life Church Main Building 304 SW Persels Rd., Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64081. Visitation will be from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. with services to follow at 5:30 p.m.

Elizabeth was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 1st, 1939. She graduated high school and soon married her late husband, Tommy, on October 18, 1958. Their union was blessed with three children, Steven, Mark, and Julie. In life, Elizabeth was a woman with Christian faith. She loved gardening, flowers, being in nature, watching birds, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Tommy D. Guenther; parents, Norb and Esther Kipp; grandson, Noah Coram and great granddaughter, Elizabeth Guenther.

She is survived by three children, Steven Guenther (Terisa), Mark Guenther (Shelly), and Julie Coram (Michael); seven grandchildren, Michael Guenther (Kinsey), Ryan Guenther (Rachel), Andrew Guenther, Trisha Brasington (Scott), Taylor Barrett (Jordan), Michael Nelson, and Luke Nelson; and eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Life Church 304 Persels Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.
