ELIZABETH C. GOLIK

Elizabeth Cecilia Bonner Golik, passed away June 11, 2015 in Raymore, Missouri with her daughters by her side. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Cullen Funeral Home with burial in Raymore Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice 14310 East 42nd Street South, Unit 600, Marketplace Shopping Center, Independence, MO 64055.

Elizabeth, better known as Libby, was born on October 18, 1929 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Nellie and William Bonner. She was the fourth of six children; Ruth, Barbara, William, Libby, Beryl and Daniel.

After graduating from high school, Libby moved to Chicago and lived with her sister Barbara. She was married to Joseph Golik and they had two girls, Janet Lee and Judith Ann. She worked as a Teacher's Assistant in the Chicago Public School System.

Her passion and delight in life was her family and friends. She faithfully and enthusiastically cheered on her grandsons at their various sporting events. She was a diehard Chicago Cub fan, but was able to divide her loyalties with the Kansas City Royals when she moved to Kansas City, MO in 1991.

Her legacy is her sacrificial generosity to anyone in need. She will be remembered as someone who found great joy in the success and well-being of those she loved.

She was preceded in death her parents; sister, Barbara Smith; and two brothers, Daniel and William Bonner.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet Dickinson, married to Richard Dickinson, and Judith Logan, married to Reid Logan; two sisters, Ruth Shaffner and Beryl Cardinal; eight grandchildren, Rachael Anderson, Rebekah Childers, Joshua Dickinson, John Dickinson, Sarah Dickinson, Hannah Stockwell, Alexander Logan and Austin Logan; eight great-grandchildren, Adelaide, Elizabeth and, Josiah Childers, Samuel and Henry Anderson, Drew and Lauren Dickinson and Selah Stockwell.

She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
