EDWARD H. VON BEHREN

Edward H. Von Behren, asleep in Jesus August 10, 2014 at the age of 82. He died peacefully at home from Bladder Cancer, on his birthday, surrounded by loved ones. Visitation 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 310 Johnston Pkwy, Raymore, MO. Funeral service 10 AM Thursday, August 14th at the church with a Military burial at Raymore Cemetery. Lunch to follow at the church. Edward was born August 10, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Edward and Clara Giewald Von Behren. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara Von Behren. Edward was an Air Force Veteran. He returned to St. Louis after his duty, where he was employed by Clark Oil Company as a manager, transferring to Kansas City in 1960. He worked as a manufactures rep and traveled the mid-west for over 40 years. He received his Private Pilot's license in 1964, enjoying flying for many years after. He retired with his wife to Raymore MO, where he loved the outdoors and his dog Rocky.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen Kitterman (Terry) and Sharen Lucero (Lee); brother, Donald Von Behren (Charlene); 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew (Nicole), Alisha and Aaron; 4 great grandchildren, Jastin, Jetaya, Clara and Avery. We would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers at Serenity Hospice and Kathy Selley. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
