Edward C.
Shelton, Jr.
Nov 15, 1940 — Jun 26, 2026
In Loving Memory of Edward Clay Shelton Jr. “Poppa T”
With profound sadness and grateful hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on June 26, 2026, at the age of 85.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with honor before dedicating much of his life to a career as a truck driver. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family.
He shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life until her passing in 2021. Together they built a family grounded in love, loyalty, and resilience, leaving a legacy that will continue for generations.
When he wasn’t working, he found joy in the simple things. He loved spending time fishing, expressing his creativity through drawing and painting, and enjoying a good game of bingo. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and steady presence brought comfort to everyone who knew him.
More than anything, he was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His love was constant, his support unwavering, and his greatest pride was the family he cherished so deeply.
While our hearts mourn his absence, we find peace in knowing he is reunited with his beloved wife. His love, wisdom, and the memories he gave us will remain in our hearts forever.
He leaves behind a family who will love him always, miss him deeply, and honor his legacy every day.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
