EDWARD "ED" LEE WILSON

Edward "Ed" Lee Wilson, age 63, of Belton, Missouri, passed away with his family by his side, on January 21, 2018, at the VA Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be given to ASPCA (aspca.org).

Ed was born August 7, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri.
After high school, Ed entered into the United States Army and later became a Gunnery Sergeant. He went on to become a medical assistant which led him into his career of Pathology.

For 25 years Ed worked in the medical field including at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO for 10 years.

On February 19, 2005, Ed was united in marriage with his best friend, Jana L. Hulett. Together, Ed and Jana shared 17 wonderful years of memories.

Ed was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. It was at Trinity where Ed was joined in marriage with his love Jana; and for years it was there that he served his LORD by playing his favorite instrument, the drums.

After retirement, Ed worked as a greeter and was known by everyone as "The Mayor of Home Depot" in Belton.

Ed loved people and never knew a stranger because he believed that the most important virtue was to be genuinely good to everyone. He was a kind, thoughtful and generous person, and he passed these attributes onto his beloved children and grandchildren.

He will be sorely missed by his wife, Jana L. Wilson; his children, Jessica (Jason), Dara, Tate, and Kyler; his three grandchildren, Natalie, Braxton, Serenity; and one soon-to-be born grandson, Dane Wilson.
