EDWARD E. "GENE" THRAILKILL
Edward E. "Gene" Thrailkill, 80, of Raymore, Missouri passed away September 3, 2011 at Foxwood Spring Living Center. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation 10-11 AM. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association. Gene was born December 23, 1930 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Claude S. and Elsie Kumpf Thrailkill. He is survived by his wife, Neta; daughters, Brenda Prouty and husband Larry, Carol White and husband Chris, and Pam Potter; grandchildren, Mistie, Andrea, Meagan, Ryan, Amanda and Chris; nine great-grandchildren. He retired from Frito-Lay as district salesmanager after 40 years. Gene was a Marine Veteran and served in the Korean War, an Alderman in Peculiar for 10 years, and also a member of Peculiar Parks and Recreation Board, Cass County Library and Peculiar Planning and Zoning Commission.
