EDWARD A. FLOYD

Edward A. Floyd, age 75, of Raymore, Missouri passed away April 22, 2017 at Beautiful Savior Home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, MO. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd., Belton, MO 64012 with burial in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 3846 W 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208.

Edward was born November 4, 1941 in Dent County, Missouri, the son of Coy N. Floyd and Elizabeth Vogel. On March 4, 1961 he married the love of his life, Alice Carol Cope. Together they were blessed with three wonderful children, Andrew, Cynthia and Joseph. Edward worked as a network technician for Sprint for 37 years. He also served in the Army National Guard for 21 years and retired from the Army Reserves. Edward served as a Deacon for many years in the Baptist Churches.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Stella Floyd, Elizabeth and Harold McGuire; sister, Mary King; brother, Dennis McGuire and nephew, Roger Floyd.
He is survived by his loving wife Alice C. Floyd of 56 years; children, Andrew A. Floyd, Cynthia A. Ritchie (Garth), and Joseph E. Floyd (Jane); four grandchildren, Jacob Ashford (Kendra), Lucas J. Ashford, Lindsay C. Ashford, and Joshua E. Floyd; and three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
