DOROTHY ANN TURNELL

Dorothy Ann Turnell, age 65, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away at home on Friday, June 2, 2023.

Services will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Dorothy's remains will then be laid to rest at Peculiar Cemetery in Peculiar, Missouri. Following services, a reception will be held at Tavern On The Moor, 1112 E. 163rd St., Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Dorothy was born in Grandview, Missouri on November 13, 1957 to Robert Lee Welch and Evelyn Marie (Hamilton) Welch. Shortly after graduating high school, Dorothy was joined in marriage with her husband Mike Turnell on July 17, 1977. Their union was blessed with one child, Ryan Turnell. For thirty seven years, Dorothy worked for Midway Ford as a cashier and had an incredible work ethic. In life she loved spending time with her family, gardening, and country living.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evelyn Welch; brother, Robert James "BJ" Welch; and sister, Linda Lee Spencer.

Here to cherish Dorothy's memory are her loving husband, Mike Turnell; son, Ryan Turnell (wife Gabriele) and their children, Josephinia and Reed Michael Turnell of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Willard Welch (wife Joann) of Belton, Missouri; ten nieces and nephews; seventeen great nieces and nephews; and six great-great nieces and nephews.
