DOROTHY HALL

Dorothy J. Hall, age 91, of Cedarcreek, Missouri, formerly of Belton, Missouri, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving daughters and son in law.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri.

Dorothy was born on August 28, 1928 in Macon, Missouri to Frank J. Lewis and Effie E. (Rissler) Lewis. Shortly after graduating high school, Dorothy was joined in marriage with her late husband, William G. Hall on March 1, 1950. Together they were blessed with four children, Michael (stillborn), Sidney, Terry, and Yvonne. For many years, Dorothy worked for Southwestern Bell as a long-distance telephone operator. Dorothy also was a bus driver for the Belton School District for 10 years. Sadly in 1999, she was faced with the passing of her husband William and son Sidney (Bobbie). In life she found comfort and happiness in her grandchildren. Dorothy loved her family first and foremost, however she often enjoyed painting, crafting, and sewing.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, William G. Hall; son, Michael W. Hall; and son Sidney G. Hall.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Terry L. Dean (Bearl Jr.) of Freeman, Missouri;  and Yvonne C. Tate (Dale) of Cedarcreek, Missouri; two brothers, Thomas F. Lewis (Bernice) of Macon, Missouri; and Jimmie D. Lewis (JoAnn) of Mountain Home, Arkansas;  and nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania, Ave., Kansas City, Missouri 64105.
