DOROTHY DIANE BROWN

Dorothy D. Brown, age 80, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.

Dorothy was born on November 5, 1938 in Fort Benning, Georgia. She was the daughter of Henry E. Shadrick and Frances M. (Windom) Shadrick. Dorothy was one of five children including, Edwina, Edwin, Jennifer, and Michael.

After high school, Dorothy entered the work force and excelled in many areas. In June of 1956, Dorothy was joined in marriage with her late husband, Robert R. Brown Sr. and together they were blessed with four children, William, Becky, Julie, and Robert Jr. Throughout life, Dorothy worked in many different areas however her best suited was being a homemaker. She freely gave her time to the Red Cross and Hospice, loved music, poetry, and wildflowers spending much time in the garden.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband of over forty years, Robert R. Brown Sr.; parents, Henry and Frances Shadrick; son William E. Brown; and son in law, Rock A. Ratajczyk.

She is survived by daughter, Becky Ketner (George); daughter, Julie Ratajczyk (Stephen Davenport); son, Robert R. Brown Jr.; sister, Edwina Horn; brother, Edwin Shadrick (Iris); sister, Jennifer Chambers; brother, Michael Shadrick; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
