DORIS FAYE HINES

Doris Faye Hines, age 95, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 in the comfort of her own home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Doris will then be laid to rest at Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery.

Doris was born in Stella, Missouri on July 23, 1927 to Wallace Mitchell and Marie (Linton) Mitchell. From the 1950's to 1980's, Doris, along with her first husband, George Copeland, George's sister and her husband, owned a small carnival named Blue Valley Shows. Together they travelled to small county fairs all over Missouri. Family was very important to Doris, She loved her siblings and had a good relationship with each one. She loved her many pets throughout life, cats and dogs, and also loved to garden, cook, travel, and listen to country/western music and even went to the Grand Ole Opry.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Copeland, second husband Ralph Hines; parents, Wallace and Marie Mitchell; two sisters, Willa Busse and Betty Dixon; and brother Walter Mitchell.

She is survived by her daughter Georgia Gayle Copeland; brother, Hal Mitchell and wife Sharon of Tucson, Arizona; stepchildren Michael Hines and Marie Hines; sister, Carol Yokum; as well as many nieces and nephews.
