DONALD "Don" J. FRANKE

Donald J. Franke, age 81 of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born on January 4, 1938 in Glasco, Montana to Wallace P. Franke and Marjorie L. (Garrow) Franke. Growing up Don was one of three children, including his two brothers Burlin and Larry. After graduating high school Don furthered his education receiving a bachelor's degree through the University of Kansas. He went on to own his own business as a Chemical Engineer before retiring. In the Fall of 1960, Don was joined in marriage with his wife Suzan. Together they were blessed with two children, Darryl and Angela. Don was a member of the Alumni Association of KU, had a passion for his work and also enjoyed stain glass work. Don was also a member of the Kansas City Breakfast Club and naturally loved his KU Basketball.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Marjorie Franke.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Suzan Franke; son Darryl Franke (Kendra); daughter Angela Franke; brother Burlin Franke (Edna); brother Larry Franke (Barbara); two grandchildren, Savannah Baumann (Marcus) and Cooper Franke; and two great grandchildren, Briar and Zander Baumann.
