DONALD F. BANNERMAN
Donald "Don" F. Bannerman, age 81, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away at Foxwood Springs Living Center on Thursday, October 10, 2019.
A Visitation Service will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, Missouri 64012. Immediately following will be a Mass and Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64138.
Don was born on February 2, 1938 in Moorhead, Minnesota. He was the son of Harold R. Bannerman and Clara P. (Kritzberger) Bannerman. After graduating high school, Don created a career for himself as a tax examiner supervisor working for the Internal Revenue Service. In the early fall of 1959, Don was joined in marriage with his loving wife, Margaret on September 12 th . Together they were blessed with four children, LeAnn, Lori, Michael, and Patrick. As his children were growing up, Don remained involved and supported his children throughout their schooling and other activities. This dedication of being involved carried on to Don's grandchildren and their interests and activities.
A man of Catholic faith, Don was a member of the St. Sabina Catholic Parish and was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Belton Counsel #5586 Assembly #566. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Knights of Columbus.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Clara Bannerman; and sister in law, Cheryl Bannerman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Bannerman; two daughters, LeAnn Kinman (Jerry) and Lori Wayne (Casey); two sons, Michael Bannerman (Janelle) and Patrick Bannerman (Misty); twelve grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
