DONALD RICHARD ALCOTT

Donald Richard Alcott, age 87, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024.

A celebration of Donald's life will be held with a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Cullen Funeral Home 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Military honors will be rendered at 7:00 p.m. for Donald's honorable service to his country in the United States Navy.

Donald was born in Charles City, Iowa on September 15, 1936 to Carlisle and Ruth Alcott. Soon after graduating high school, Donald enlisted in the United States Navy, dedicating the next 13 years of his life in service to his country. Donald was joined in marriage with his late wife Patricia on June 21, 1975. In life, Donald was an over the road truck driver, a profession he was very proud of. Donald was also very well known for his love of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, as well as watching golf, fishing, and western shows.

Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Alcott; parents, Carlisle and Ruth Alcott; son, David Alcott; and son in law, Terry McDowell.

He is survived by his children, Mike Alcott (Renee), Bob Vega, Ron Alcott, Dana Myers (Steve), Camie Vega, Debbie McDowell, Jacque Tendall, Julee Sherry, Leslie Sherrer (Steve), and Michelle Vega; two brothers, Roger Alcott and Duane Alcott; twenty three grandchildren; and thirty five great grandchildren.
