Debra was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 8, 1947, the daughter of Jack Callahan and Mary Lambath. In 1955, at the age of seven, a tragedy struck and Debra and her younger brother Steve were adopted by her uncle's family. Debra and her brother were raised as family with their cousins. Debra married her high school sweetheart George P. Diggs shortly after graduating. Though this relationship wasn't permanent, they had 3 children together who they adored and both went on to remarry. In 1980, Debra married LeRoy J. Fuller who also had grown children from a previous marriage. Together they raised her children and were married for almost 29 years until he passed in 2009.
Debra loved antiquing and watching westerns like Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, and Lonesome Dove. She also loved animals, especially her cats (and stray critters) and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always had a Diet Coke nearby and a secret drawer full of candy for herself and the grandchildren.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Callahan; her second husband, Leroy Fuller (d. 2009); first husband George Diggs (d. 2005); and her brother, Steve Callahan (d.2008).
She is survived by her three children, Shannon Billeisen (Greg), Jack Diggs (Ellen), and Kelly Diggs-Holland; step-children Jim Fuller (Sue) and Mary Corso; and grandchildren, Sam Billeisen, Quinn Diggs, Tristan Tarver, Cooper Holland, Wilson Holland; Jimmy Fuller (Jennifer), Nick Corso (Tina), Brianna McCullough (Cody), Meredith Harless (Jeffrey); nephew, Steve Callahan and many loving great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
