DAVID ROY STROUD

David Roy Stroud, age 72, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 17, 2020.

A celebration of life will be held in Coffeyville, KS at a later date to be announced.

David was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on February 8, 1948 to Delbert Alvin Stroud and Gertrude Evelyn (Coffin) Stroud. After graduating high school, David decided to serve his country in the United States Navy. For four years, David served in the Navy and also took some collegiate courses. He was very proud of his honorable and faithful service to his country. David would later establish a career as a Truck Driver – OTR primarily for Walmart before retiring after twenty-two years. In the summer of 1983, David was joined in marriage with his wife, Bobbie Linn (McCoach) on August 12, at the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. In life David was blessed with three children, John, Shannon, and Wyat. He very much enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Evelyn Stroud.

He leaves behind his loving wife of over thirty seven years, Bobbie Lynn Stroud; son, John David Stroud (Jessica); daughter, Shannon Noble (Brad); son, Wyat Tomlinson (Brandi); two brothers, Danny Stroud (Barbara) and Jimmy Stroud (Gayla); three sisters, Elaine Pearson, Eva Gordan (Tim), and Patty Stroud; and four grandchildren, Leanna Tomlinson, Rowdy Noble, Owen Stroud and Luke Stroud
