DAVID C. CLARK
David C. Clark, 76, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on August 26, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in August 1949 in Springfield, Missouri, to William W. and Letha (Putman) Clark, Dave grew up with a strong sense of family and hard work. He attended Southeast High School in Kansas City, where he shined as an athlete and especially loved playing football and baseball. Those who knew him best would say his competitive spirit on the field carried into the way he lived his life — with determination, loyalty, and heart.
After high school, Dave completed a plumbing apprenticeship program in Kansas City receiving top honors for his certification in the plumbing field and was a lifetime member of Plumber's Local Union #8. Throughout his career, he contributed to new construction projects across the Kansas City area, and served businesses from behind the wheel of his service van. He took great pride in his craft, not just in the work itself but in the friendships and connections he built along the way.
In March 1987, Dave married Connie (Howerton), and together they shared 38 wonderful years of marriage. Connie was truly the love of his life, and together they raised their family with deep love and dedication. Dave was a proud father to Brian Clark (Joanna) and Paul Clark (Emily), and though he endured the heartbreaking loss of his son Scott Clark, his strength and devotion to his family never wavered.
Family was at the center of everything Dave did. He adored his four grandchildren — Scott, Nolan, Ryann, and Max — and could always be found cheering them on at their games and activities. His pride in them was immeasurable, and he never missed a chance to brag about their accomplishments.
Outside of family and work, Dave enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved playing poker at the boats, swapping stories with friends, telling a funny joke and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Whether celebrating a big win or suffering through a tough loss, he remained a loyal fan to the end.
Dave is survived by his wife Connie, sons Brian (Joanna) Peculiar, Mo and Paul (Emily) Kansas City, Kansas, brother Kenneth Clark and his cherished grandchildren along with many other family members, neighbors, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott, and brothers Cecil and Bill Clark.
Those who knew Dave will remember him for his humor, his big personality, his infectious laugh, his steadfastness and his love for the people who mattered most to him. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion to family, hard work, and the joy of a life well lived.
He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him, but his spirit and love for life will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
