DARLENE HAM

Darlene Ham, age 89, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on April 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., Raymore, Missouri 64083. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Cullen Funeral Home followed by the burial in Terrace Park Cemetery, 801 Northwest 108th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64155.

Darlene was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 9, 1934, the daughter of Ira Patrick Dalton and Alice Marie Quick. She married Thomas Mendina on August 7, 1954, and from that marriage a son, Michael Ham, was born. Thomas died in the line of duty in Wyandotte County, Kansas on March 4, 1956.  Darlene married Bernard Ham on May 16, 1960, and celebrated over 50 years of marriage.

In life Darlene worked as a supervisor for AT&T and retired after more than thirty years. She was a 67-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Matron and Past District Deputy Grand Matron. She was a past president of the Missouri Camper & Hiker Association. Time spent with family was precious. She was an amazing artist and loved spending her spare time painting.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Patrick and Alice Marie Dalton; her husband, Bernard Ham; and brother, Sonny Dalton.

She is survived by her son, Michael Ham (Nanette); three grandchildren, Tammi Liebsch (Larry), Kelly Herod, and David Ham (Jennifer); six great grandchildren, Jacob Liebsch (Morgan), Brooke Ruoff (Bryce), Ella Leutje, Emilia Ham, Izaiah Ham, and Micah Ham; three great great grandchildren, Kaiden and Wyatt Liebsch, and Kimber Ruoff; and her sister, Sissie Garrison; and several nieces and nephews.
