DANNY R. RAYFIELD

Danny R. Rayfield, age 68, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Missouri.

Born in Harrisonville, Missouri on November 21, 1951 Danny was the son of Elmer P. Rayfield and Doris Jean (Brown) Rayfield. Danny grew up with one brother, Bill. After graduating high school Danny pursued several opportunities before he began his career as a police officer. In the Fall of 1999, he was joined in marriage with his wife, Cheryl (Baker) on October 17th. Danny was also blessed with two children, Tara and Scott. He was an avid fisherman and loved watching NASCAR. Danny retired from his career as a law enforcement officer after twenty years with the Prairie Village Police Department. He was a member of the Johnson County Radio Amateur Club (JCRAC). For many years, Danny and Cheryl would spend much time touring around the country in their RV.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Doris Rayfield.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Cheryl Rayfield; two children, Tara Nash and Scott Nash; brother, Bill Rayfield (Marilyn); and two grandchildren, Ashton and Ryleigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Crescent Hill Cemetery, 776 North West County Road 14002, Adrian, Missouri 64720.
