DANIEL D. HARMON
Daniel D. Harmon, age 69, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away at his home on Monday, June 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Manna Fellowship Church, 17324 S MO – 291, Pleasant Hill, Missouri 64080 followed immediately by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Daniel was born on November 21, 1949 in Yuba City, California. He was the son of Bill Dean Harmon and Lois Gertrude (Douthitt) Harmon. Growing up, Dan had one brother, Bill. After graduating high school, Daniel served his country in the United States Army. On February 28, 1970 Daniel was joined in marriage with his loving wife, Delores J. (King) Harmon (Dee). Together they were blessed with two sons, Heath and Ryan.
After forty-eight dedicated years, partnering with his family business Harmon Tire, as District Sales Manager, Daniel retired. Throughout life, he was a very active individual and loved playing all sports such as baseball, football, basketball, golf, and enjoyed bowling. Daniel was a member and Coach of the CCJAA (Cass County Jr. Athletic Association) as well as a member of the Jaycees. He was an Adult Sunday School teacher for years at Cornerstone Baptist Church of Raymore, Missouri, and he was also a Deacon at the Manna Fellowship Church where he was a member.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lois Harmon; and aunts, Donna Calderon, Mary Williams, and Bea Brewington.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Delores J. Harmon (Dee); two sons, Heath A. Harmon (Jacque) and Ryan D. Harmon (Renee); brother, Bill G. Harmon (Dianne); five grandchildren, Blake Harmon, Brooklyn Harmon, Amber Wilson (Brandon), Ashley Harmon, and Josh Harmon; two step-grandchildren, Brett Schaefer and Drew Schaefer; and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Arabella.
