CRAIG ELGIN BIENFANG
Craig Elgin Bienfang, at 70, of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 25, 2021.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri. Following visitation will be a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
Craig was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 14, 1950 to Leo Elgin Bienfang and Lois Jean (Giefer) Bienfang Larson. After graduating high school Craig served his country in the United States Navy until 1973, then in the United States Army Reserve until 1976. In the summer of 1982, Craig was joined in marriage with his wife Karen (Lowenberg) on August 29th in Des Moines, Iowa. Together they were blessed with three daughters. Since high school, Craig has worked as a goldsmith and jeweler up until his passing. He owned his own business for many years (The Jewelry Clinic), dedicating countless hours to his profession. Even up until his death, Craig would work at least one day a week as he had such a love for it and enjoyed being around his co-workers. In life Craig was a man made for the outdoors. He loved to fish, camp, and garden. He was a member of the NRA and loved shooting a variety of firearms including archery.
Craig was preceded in death by his father, Leo Elgin Bienfang; and stepfather, Larry Larson.
He leaves behind his loving wife of over thirty-eight years, Karen Bienfang; three daughters, Kelly Benbow-Linck (Rob), Nicolette Costanza (John), and Bayley Beshara (Brice); mother, Lois Jean Larson; two sisters, Nancy Bienfang-Garles (Gary) and Sioux Bienfang; and eight grandchildren, Emerson Benbow, Rilyn Benbow, Dakota Linck, Aspen Linck, Franco Costanza, Vito Costanza, Louis Beshara, and Samuel Beshara.
