Obituary

COLLEEN FRANCES TESTERMAN

Colleen Frances Testerman, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 10, 2026.

Born on July 22, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Thomas Francis Millett and Thelma Dona Millett, Colleen graduated from Grandview High School in 1974 and built a life centered around family, home, and caring for others.

She was the mother of three children, William Kane Testerman and spouse Kelly, Joey Eugene Testerman, and Chrissy Ann Gibson and spouse Howard. She was a proud grandmother to Kohl Eugene Testerman, Hailey Brooke Navarro, Laney Frances Testerman, and Owen Stanley Testerman, all of whom brought her great joy.

Colleen spent most of her life caring for her home and family before becoming the owner and operator of Big T’s Diner for a short period of time. As a child, she loved spending time at her Granny’s house baking and making doll clothes, a creativity that stayed with her throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, wood crafts, scrapbooking, painting, bowling, fishing, and spending time at the lake. She also loved going on her “sister trips,” which brought her joy and many special memories. She was a simple woman who liked her routine and found comfort in the familiar. She had a spirited personality, a creative side, and a special love for her grandchildren. She loved in her own way, and the people closest to her knew her heart.

She shared a deep love with her husband, Billy Eugene Testerman, and missed him greatly after his passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Eugene Testerman, her parents, Thomas Francis Millett and Thelma Dona Millett, and her sisters, Charlis Millett and Maureen Schmidt.

She is survived by her siblings, Winona Fix, Elizabeth Coleman, Thomas Millett, and Edward Millett, as well as her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Kansas City Hospice.
