CLAUDE HOWARD WOLFE
Claude Howard Wolfe, age 90, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10th, 2022 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1111 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A memorial service will follow immediately at 6:00 p.m. The following day, October 11th, an inurnment will take place at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
Howard was born in Kansas City, Kansas on October 8, 1931 to Claude Wolfe and Grace (Criss) Wolfe. After graduating high school, Howard began his career with the United States Military in the Air Force. He was inducted in Kansas City, Missouri in December of 1951. Howard was a Technical Sergeant, working as an aircraft electrician with 20 years of service to our country, including the Vietnam War - Operation Ranch Hand. Howard received an honorable discharge and was awarded the Air Force Accomadation Medal. He then worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad as a locomotive electrician and retired from the railroad industry after 20 years. He was a faithful member of the Masons as well as a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
When not working on planes, trains and automobiles, Howard enjoyed golf. Howard was such an easy person to love; you never had to ask for help, he was always there to offer it.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Grace Wolfe; mother of his three children/first wife, Gloria J. (Pollock) Wolfe; three brothers, John, Larry, and Warren Wolfe; and granddaughter, Michelle Wolfe.
Howard is survived by his loving wife, Mary K. (Coleman) Cuscaden-Wolfe; three children, Robert Wolfe, Steven Wolfe (Avis), and Debbie Bennett; step-daughter, Carrie Theiling (Ray); eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The University of Kansas Hospital Center for Advanced Heart Care online at www.kansashealthsystem.com
