CLARENCE EUGENE GREEN

Clarence "Gene" Eugene Green, age 81, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1111 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed immediately with a funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will proceed at Raymore Cemetery in Raymore, Missouri.

Gene was born on October 4, 1940 to Albert Green and Goldie (Canida) Green in Warrensburg, Missouri. After high school he completed two years of college. In the summer of 1962, Gene was joined in marriage with his wife, Joanna (Nelson) on June 10th. Their union was blessed with two sons, Gregory and Christopher. He worked as a fire fighter with the Kansas City Fire Department until he retired at age 48. Following retirement, he was a very successful boat salesman for ten years and later worked in the mortgage business. In 1991 Gene and Joanna moved from Kansas City to Raymore. Gene was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. In life, he was very passionate about fishing and more so, golfing, never parting with his custom clubs.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Goldie Green; and brother Robert Earl Green.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joanna Green; two sons, Greg Green (Emma) and Chris Green (Rita); two sisters, Lois Bowder (Gary) and Alberta Jones (Clarence); and four grandchildren, Erica, Ryan, Nicole, and Ashley.
