CHUCK L. HOUSE

Chuck L. House, 71, of Cleveland, Missouri passed away January 4, 2012. Funeral services will be 6 PM Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Southwoods Christian Church 16110 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66085 with visitation 4-6 PM. Graveside services will be 2 PM Sunday at Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, Missouri. Chuck was born December 30, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Frank Lee and Mary Rebeccah Lytle House. Chuck attended Center High School and Shattuck School in Fairbault, Minnesota, where he graduated in 1960 with the rank of First Lieutenant. He attended MU for 1 year, then joined the Navy and was Honorably Discharged in 1964. He returned to Kansas City working for Arrow Meat company and then as a guitar teacher at Jenkins Music. After escorting Linda Musser to the Botar Ball, he fell in love, and they married in June 1966. They had one daughter, Kimberly. They lived in Raymore from 1971 to 2001 when they moved to Cleveland, MO. Chuck completed his degree at the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a degree in Music and opened House's Music Studio at 99th and Holmes where he taught guitar and built custom made guitars for several years. He has owned and operated several businesses including House's Custom Upholstery, Accent America-an embroidery digitizing and embroidery business, and Mobile Marine-a custom boat cover and boat furniture business. After retirement, he returned to teaching music which he loved. Until his passing, he was teaching guitar, banjo and dobro at the Southland Conservatory in Harrisonville, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents. Chuck is survived by his wife Linda; daughter, Kim Thiele and husband Chris; brother, Frank Eugene House; four grandchildren, Kirsten, Alex, Sarah and Ashley Grace.
