Obituary

Christina Jeanean Thompson

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Christina Jeanean Thompson, on Tuesday, February 3rd due to complications of her long fight with ovarian cancer.

Christina was born on July 19th, 1986 to Pete and Anita Wing and grew up in Belton, MO. In 2006 she married the love of her life Charlie (Charles) Thompson and they settled in Raymore and made it a home. There she developed so many hobbies; baking, cooking, welding, diving, woodworking, and always writing. She has been to Greece, Egypt and so many other places on her bucket list. Her imagination and storytelling abilities were amazing, using them to show her family and friends love with such passion.

She graduated from Belton Highschool, dedicating her life to her husband, 3 kids and 6 siblings. She impacted many through her relentlessness, devoted, and unapologetic personality. Her generosity, laughter, and many teaching moments breathed life into those around her.

She will be remembered by everyone who knew her. She was proud of her heritage. She had an incredible memory, she lived unencumbered by the opinions of others and only caring how her actions would affect her family, and her ability to make babies laugh.

One of her greatest gifts was making Christmas magical, the best anyone could dream of and all of the Thanksgiving food that you could dream of. She always planned her family’s get togethers and never left anyone out. She touched the lives of so many and will continue to do so with her books. She inspired many with her cannabis outreach and angel network.

She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Charles Thompson as well as her children Jordyn, Wesley, and Matthew. She is additionally survived by her parents Peter and Anita, her siblings Sherri, Cynthia, Peter Jr., Catherine, Michael, and Carolyn, as well as 4 nieces (Aria, Scarlett, Mable, Camille), 2 nephews (Jason, And Jackson) and 6 Grandbabies (Wesley Jr., Archer, Kreed, Malachi, Ember, Phaedra.)

She treasured family more than herself, and had a full community of cherished friends.

A service will be held at Cullen Funeral Home on Friday, February 13th 2026. Visitation and viewing will be at 1pm and Service following at 2pm.

Flowers are encouraged as she loved Peach roses.
