CHARLOTTE FRANCES HOCKETT
Charlotte "Frances" Hockett (83) of Raymore, Mo passed away March 1, 2019. She grew up in Amsterdam, Mo. , the youngest of nine children born to George and Charlotte (Ferry) McKee. Frances married Lloyd Hockett on September 6, 1953. Upon moving to Raymore in 1968, they became members of First Baptist Church of Raymore, where they faithfully served and taught. Frances enjoyed sharing devotions and visiting the homebound, preparing meals, and hosting socials at their cabin at Truman Lake. Her hobbies included fishing, quilting, garage saling, and playing skip-bo. She loved to attend whatever events her children and grandchildren were involved in. Frances made quilts for every grandchild's birth and marriage, as well as great grandchildren's births.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and four sisters. She is also preceded by her husband of 50 years, Lloyd Hockett, and her oldest daughter, Georgia Gayl Hockett Moses. She is survived by daughters Diane Beckner (JC), and Lori Jo Easton (Robert), and favorite son Clayton (Mary). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jamie (Sean) Mayes, Neecia (Brandon) Eggar, Kristy (Jay) Reichard, Leanne (Joe) James, Leslie (Justin) Blomquist, Kayla Fisher, Michael Easton, Cameron Hockett, Abigayl (Josiah) Petermann, and Derek Hockett, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews (all of whom's birthdays were committed to her memory).
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Raymore 116 S. Washington St., Raymore, Missouri 64083. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. following the Funeral Service at Scott Cemetery in Amsterdam, Missouri 64723. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Raymore –Debt Retirement Fund.
