Charlie was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 7, 1950, the son of Lloyd A. Brouse and Margaret B. Brouse (Coppock). Shortly after graduating high school, Charlie started his career with Bendix, a government contractor and retired from Honeywell (Bendix) 55 years later. Charlie loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and especially traveling across the U.S. in a pop-up camper with his wife and children. For many years, he cultivated an amazing half-acre garden with rows of corn, watermelons, tomatoes, and peppers. He had a natural green thumb, and his yard was always the envy of every local golf course and the high school football coaches.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Margaret Brouse; and his wife, Karen A. Brouse.
He is survived by his three children, Robert Brouse (Robin), DaNelle Lowe (Casey), Curtis Brouse; brother, Michael Brouse (Toni); two sisters, Diane Henthorne (Bruce) and Linda Bookasta; nine grandchildren, Caitlyn, Kourtney, Evette, Edward, Mason, Randy, James, Heather, Tonya; and nine great-grandchildren.
