CAROLYN K. LEMKEN

Carolyn K. Lemken, age 78, of Buckner, Missouri passed away on February 14, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center.

A celebration of life visitation for both Carolyn and Richard will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri 64083. Their inurnment will take place together at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri at a later date.

Carolyn was born in Bentonville, Arkansas on June 15, 1945, the daughter of Willie R. Leach and Betty J. Sitton. After graduating from high school Carolyn met the love of her life Richard Lee Lemken and later were married on May 12, 1962. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Janice and Julie. In life Carolyn worked as an office manager for a Stone Container company for many years. Carolyn enjoyed needle point, riding motorcycles, and traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas and cruises with Richard.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Willie R. Leach; husband, Richard Lee Lemken; grandson, Jeremy Cooper; two son in-laws, Leslie Cooper and Dennis Coxe; two nephews, Michael Johnson and Little Jeff; brother in-law, Gene Bryant; and sister in-law, Rosalie Leach.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janice Cooper and Julie Carpenter; mother, Betty Jo Leach; brother, Jimmie Leach; two sisters, Mary Bryant and Ginger Nash; four grandchildren, Jerri Cooper, Carol Jo Johnson (Cody), Charles Carpenter III, Richard Carpenter (Heather); and 15 great grandchildren, Skyler, Joseph, Alexia, Sammie, Heaven, Makayla, Kylie, Ava, Olivia, Brendan, Kenton, Isaiah, Tory, Betty and Brayden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DAV, Disabled American Veterans.
