CAROL JEAN SIMPSON

Carol Jean Simpson was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 27, 1948. She was raised by her mother, Virginia Stevenson and grandmother, Martha Hickerson. She attended Southeast High School and worked part-time at the cleaners where she met Lawrence Edwin Simpson while he was dropping off his service uniform. They were married two years later, on September 3rd, 1966. In 1976 they moved to Raymore, Missouri where they raised their four children, David, Jennifer, Michael, and Jeremy. Carol also played a pivotal role in the upbringing of sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was a cornerstone member of the Church of Christ in Pleasant Hill, Missouri for many decades. She dedicated her life to serving the needs of others. She will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion, her unrelenting work ethic, and her powerful and unconditional love for her family and friends. Carol left this world on May 17th, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones, but her spirit and influence will live on forever.

Services will be held at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083 on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Following a luncheon, Carol’s family will lay her to rest at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
