CAROL JEAN MCMURRAY

Carol Jean McMurray, age 93, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family in Greenwood, Missouri on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 12:00 p.m.

Carol was born in Avoca, Minnesota on December 19, 1931 to Clarence Struble and Ethel (Peddycourt) Struble. In 1950, Carol was united in marriage with her late husband, James McMurray. For many years, Carol was a homemaker until later in life, she worked briefly as a card selector for Hallmark. In life, Carol was a woman of Catholic faith, loved sewing, reading, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel Struble; husband James McMurray; and stillborn son, Gary John McMurray.

She is survived by her two loving children, James McMurray Jr. (Stephanie) and Carol Martinez (Michael); brother Lyle Struble; seven granddaughters, Jamie Stewart, Tammie Florez, Wendy Englebrick, Jennie Allen, Sara Tracey, Cheryl Bennett, and Olivia Mathews; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great-great granddaughters.
