CAROL LEE CHAFIN
Carol Lee Chafin, January 14, 1945 -January 2011, resident of Raymore, Missouri. After a sixty-six year journey filled with joy and love, Carol passed away peacefully at her home on January 29th. Carol was raised in Leroy, Illinois and resided in Raymore with her family for the past thirty-three years.
She was one of three children born to the late John and Mary Amdor and was the beloved wife to Paul Chafin for forty-seven years. Carol will forever be remembered by her loving brother, Joseph Amdor and devoted children Teri Lawing, Anthony Chafin, Regina Buckley, Erica Demack, Cynthia Rickard and Gregory Chafin. She is preceded in death by her children Paul and Paula Chafin and her brother Phillip Amdor. Her loving memory will continue through the lives of her sixteen treasured grandchildren, whom she loved whole heartedly. Carol enjoyed reading, playing cards, caring for animals, laughing with her family and staying up-to-date on the latest happenings of her grandchildren.
The family plans to celebrate her life privately together. She will be laid to rest with her family near her childhood home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Midwest Eye Research Foundation.
