IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol A.
Behm
March 3, 1935 – August 20, 2023
CAROL A. BEHM
"It's time for me to be moving on," said Carol Behm last year, "I've got people waiting for me." On August 20, 2023, 88-year-old Carol moved on to the people waiting for her.
Carol's family and friends on both sides of this earthly divide know and feel her love. It is a love undiminished by space or time, life or death. It is a love now being shared more directly with the saints who preceded her, including her husband Jac, her daughter Lori, her grandson Kyle, her parents Laura and Reinhold Lohoefener, her sisters Evelyn, Velda, and Alice, and her brothers Arthur, Walter, and Roland.
Those remaining on this side of the divide are tending to feelings of grief and gratitude for Carol's caring presence in our lives. They include children and spouses Richard and Kim Behm of Virginia Beach, VA, Roland and Ellen Behm of Atlanta, GA, Mellodie and Joe Ellis of Kearney, MO, grandchildren and spouses Joshua and Lori Ann Light of Chicago, IL, Brianne and Victor Morales of El Paso, TX, Laura and Ryan Wolfe of Falls Church, VA, Melia Smee of Tacoma, WA, Aaron and Ashley Behm of Virginia Beach, VA, Bryan and Michelle Behm of Virginia Beach, VA, and great grandchildren Margot, Izzy, RaeAnne and Chloe. Also beloved niece Rhonda Tebbenkamp of Salisbury, MO, and her dearest friend Peggy Poe of Raymore, MO whom we all consider to be a dear aunt.
Carol passed away in her sleep at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Home in Belton, MO, an appropriate waystation. Carol actively supported Beautiful Savior since its founding more than 40 years ago. She loved the clients and staff, and she was loved in return by them, especially over the past two years being a part of that community.
Services will be held Monday, August 28th, 2023 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Raymore, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, with services at 11:00am followed by a luncheon. Her ashes will join those of her husband of 44 years, Jac, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at 3:00pm.
