CALVIN DALE ZORNES

Calvin Dale Zornes, 81, of Lee's Summit, Missouri passed away November 9, 2012 at Belton Research Hospital. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for over two years. Funeral services will be November 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Drive in Raymore, MO. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Raymore Cemetery.

Dale was born July 16, 1931 in Mildred, KS to Eva and Otis Zornes. He was married to his wife, Kathleen, for 58 years. He was a veteran, serving in Germany for two years. He worked for Bendix/Honeywell for 17 years. Following that, he was in security at the IRS, retiring after 22 years. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing, but the greatest joy of his life was his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, three daughters, Connie (Richard) Krupco of Leawood, KS; Janice (Brad) Mitchell of Kansas City, MO; Shirley Hoover of Indianapolis, IN; and one son, Jeffrey (Cathy) of Lee's Summit, MO; nine grandchildren, Bradley (Nicole) Hoover, Andy Hoover, Scott Hoover, Christina (Scott) Ferguson, Amanda Mitchell, Matt Mitchell, Rachel Krupco, Maggie Zornes, Laney Zornes; and two great grandchildren, Isaac Zornes and Emma Ferguson.
