Callista Rachelle Cotton, age 23, of Cleveland, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023.

A celebration of Calli's life will be held with a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Calli was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on May 12, 2000 to Russell Leon Cotton Jr. and Paula Renee (Stowell). The family resided in Maryville, Missouri through her early childhood, moving to Cleveland, Missouri in 2004. Calli attended elementary school in the Midway school district, transferring to Belton schools in 6th grade. She graduated high school in 2018, having been active in band, choir, and theater activities. She then briefly attended Northwest Missouri State University, playing in the Bearcat Marching Band in the fall of 2018. Since then, Calli worked as a preschool teacher, most recently at Little Blessings in Raymore. She loved the children she cared for, and planned to return to school one day to pursue a degree in education. Calli was a fan of fancy coffee, scented candles, "dad" jokes, young adult fiction, and many genres of music.

Calli was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandparents, and a cousin.

She leaves behind her mother; sister, Ryanna Cotton; paternal grandparents; and several uncles, aunts, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Stand Up To Cancer.
