BONNIE JEAN BECKER
Bonnie Jean Becker, age 81 of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by a family time of sharing at 6:00 p.m.
Bonnie was born in Brownington, Missouri on February 22, 1945 to William W. Starbuck and Dorothy F. (Salmons) Starbuck. After high school, Bonnie continued her education in cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser for over sixty years. On January 8, 1966 she was joined in marriage with her late husband, William “Bill” Becker. Their union was blessed with three daughters. She was a woman of Catholic faith and most recently attended Mass at St. Sabina Catholic Parish in Belton, Missouri. Bonnie was a big personality who thrived as the center of attention. She always had a joke or a story to share. Those stories were always embellished a little more every time she told them. She loved to be a part of her Westport High School crowd for every reunion and the lunches with her friends in between. Bonnie was an artist in many ways. Aside from being able to tease hair and make it hold for days, she also enjoyed drawing, painting, and crafts. Birthday cards usually included some original Bonnie art on the envelope. She also loved to write. It could be a letter to the editor of the local paper, a poem honoring a birthday or anniversary, or a eulogy to honor someone's life. Bonnie couldn't keep a secret to save her life, we all knew that if we shared anything with her, that every customer in her chair that day or every person she spoke to on the phone would know in short time. She loved bowling and did it for many years with Bill and on other leagues with friends. Bonnie was always up for a trip to the boat to wear the arm out on a slot machine and couldn't go to the store without coming out with a handful of scratcher tickets. She loved the KC Royals, a passion she got from her father, and was always happy to go to games with her brother. She also loved the KC Chiefs and valued the time she and Bill had season tickets. Bonnie never left the house without being perfectly made up, hair and make-up, even to get the mail. You would never find her without a tube of lipstick and a bottle of Estee Lauder Youth Dew in her purse, no matter how much we tried to get her to change scents. We hope she has now found peace and is entering a new dance contest in heaven with Bill, it was always a joy to see them dance together.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Bill Becker; and parents, William and Dorothy Starbuck.
She is survived by her three daughters, Christine Barbour (David), Jeanette Hill (Travis), and Brandi Dameron (Robert); eight grandchildren, Cameron Barbour, Kaili Staudenmyer (Colten), Heather Leeper (Steve), Corey Zumalt (Dana), Brianna Zumalt (Brayden), Kaylin Woods (Kyle), Katie Dameron (Colton), and Bo Dameron; twelve great grandchildren, Caleb, Bailey, Kase, Conway, Ellie, Saylor, Lane, Beckett, Dawson, Nycole, Rylee, and Avery; and brother, Dave Starbuck (Ellie).
