BOBBY NEAL PERKINS
Bobby (Bob) Perkins passed away peacefully after a brief stay at Menorah Medical Center. He was a loving husband to Jan for 61 years and a devoted father to all his children and was deeply loved by all his family. He loved to be ornery and tease which was definitely his love language.
Bob served in the United States Air Force doing a tour in Thulle, Greenland.
He was born and raised to Woodrow and Edith Perkins in Trumann, AR. He eventually moved to Kansas City where he met Jan and they raised their family. Bob worked for the Gas Service Company for 30 years. He served as an arson investigator and retired as a supervisor for them in 1994.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Edith Perkins, his infant brother, James, granddaughter, Belinda Kilgore, and many other loving family members whom greeted him in Heaven.
Bob is survived by loving wife, Jan; 5 children, John (Barbara) Kilgore, Cumming, GA, Kim (Randy) King, Raymore, MO, Lisa (Greg) Schermerhorn, Belton, MO, Mike (Patty) Perkins, Belton, MO, Jim (Kendra) Perkins, Raymore, MO.; 9 grandchildren, Amber, Michael, Ashley, John (J), Aaron, Nicole, Danielle, Tristan, and John Jr.; 13 great grandchildren, Riley, Evan, Ashton, Trevor, Aubrey, Addison, Kyle, Matthew, Mikayla, Bailey, Stephen, Graham, and Lincoln.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Bob will then be laid to rest at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
