BOBBIE LEE BOLLINGER

Bobbie Lee (Miller) Bollinger, 74, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, surrounded by family.

Bobbie was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 5, 1951, to Robert B. and Rosa Lee (Barnett) Miller. She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Lloyd C. Johnson, after the passing of her father when she was young. Bobbie attended South East High School, and later moved, graduating from Raytown South High School in 1969. While attending high school, she met Ed Bollinger at the Y Drive-In. What started with a playful, "Hey good looking, where are you going?" led to a first date at the State Fair. They were engaged in 1968 before he left for boot camp and Vietnam. After his return, they married on March 14, 1970, and began building a beautiful life together.

At the young age of 18, Bobbie began her working life at Parkview GEM's collection department. She later joined Continental on September 3, 1975, where she dedicated 25 years, rising through the ranks in Insurance Operations, becoming operations manager. She retired in 2000. Bobbie embraced a second career in real estate with Reece & Nichols in 2001, enjoying 9 fun-filled years. In 2011, a friend convinced her to come out of retirement again, and she joined Midland Loan Services (later PNC) as AVP of Operations, finally retiring (for real) in 2021. Bobbie always had a strong work ethic and believed in "actions over words."

Bobbie and Ed were blessed with two daughters, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one step grandchild, and one step great-grandchild. You could always find her on the sidelines or in the stands of any sport/activity that her daughters or grandchildren were involved in. She enjoyed annual family trips to Branson over Thanksgiving, grandma vacations with Shelby, long conversations with her nephew, Jacob, going to Royals games, reading, shopping, playing cards/games, family meals, and time at the lake on the boat. She and Ed also loved their date nights, fun at the casino, traveling, and dancing anywhere there was music.

Above all, Bobbie's greatest role in life was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was welcoming to all, a great listener, forthright, a second mom to many, and always seemed to have the right words at the right time. Bobbie believed in enjoying all that life has to offer. Even though a part of her journey included living with cancer, she continued to live life to the fullest. Her legacy is one of love, grace, and strength, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. "We love you more!"

Bobbie is together again with the love of her life of 54 years, Ed. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert Miller and Rosa Lee Johnson; her stepfather, Lloyd Johnson; two sisters, Beverly Helms and Susan Baptist; her stepsister, Barbara Warren; and her nephew, John Juenger.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Bollinger-Owens and Jennifer and Mike Corf; her nephew, Jacob Johnson; her grandchildren, Blaire and Travis Tarry, and Joshua, Jackson, and Madison Corf; step grandchildren, Blake and Kayla Owens; great granddaughter, Hadleigh Tarry, and step great-granddaughter, Bristol Owens. Bobbie is also survived by her stepsisters, Lelia Porter, Linda (Winnie) Parsons, Jeanie Powers (Craig); and her brother, Kenneth (Butch) Johnson (Lynette); along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life for Bobbie will be held at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W Foxwood Dr, Raymore, MO 64083, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
