BILLY R. WILCOX
Billy R. Wilcox, age 92, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth Kansas.
Billy was born on July 25, 1927 to James Wilcox and Eunice (Thompson) Wilcox in Fairview, Oklahoma. After high school Billy devoted twenty-two years of his life to the United States Army before retiring. Later working as a manager for automotive sales. In life, Billy was joined in marriage with Micheline Wilcox and together were blessed with two daughters, Shirley and Anna Marie. He was a man of Baptist faith and member of Cross Pointe Church (Manna Fellowship Church). Being a soldier was very dear to Billy's heart, he was proud of his honorable service during World War II. Billy also was a member of the Overland Park Crime Stoppers for some time.
Billy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Micheline Wilcox; parents, James and Eunice Wilcox; daughter, Shirley Duvall; and son in law, William E. Black.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Anna Marie Black; four grandchildren, Ron Black (Lisa), Terry Black (Kim), Mitchell Black (Shelly), and Richie Novak; and eight great grandchildren.
