BILL JOE ANDERSON

Bill Joe Anderson, age 83, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083 followed immediately with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. A Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Gibson Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri.

Bill was born on October 29, 1935 in Neosho, Missouri. He was the son of Neoma Bell (Anderson) McCoy and Marion McCoy. After graduating high school, Bill served his country in the United States Army and furthered his education, creating for himself a successful career as a mechanic. Bill worked as a mechanic for General Motors for 32.9 years before retiring.

Bill was joined in marriage with his wife, Mable (Bruton) Anderson on September 12 ^th ,1959. Together they were blessed with two sons, Bill Joe Jr. and Mike Lee, and Linda Williams (from a previous marriage). Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raymore in Raymore, Missouri. He also very much enjoyed hunting and fishing in his retirement.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Neoma Bell McCoy; stepfather, Marion McCoy; and sister, Betty McCoy.

He is survived by his loving wife of over sixty years, Mable L Anderson; two sons, Bill Joe  Anderson Jr. (Kelly) and Mike Lee Anderson (Carla); daughter, Linda Williams (from a previous marriage); three brothers, William McCoy Jr., Ed McCoy (Jean), and John McCoy (Gayle); two sisters, Barbara Smith (Jim) and Nancy Rainey (Joe); two grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Lyon (Mitch) and Shane Michael Anderson (Kacie); and great granddaughter, Aubrey Rae.
