BETTY MARIE WEST

Betty Marie West, 91 went home to Heaven peacefully on her 91st birthday, April 25, 2024.  Betty was the daughter of Paul Estrada, a construction worker and professional boxer and Thelma "Glover" Estrada, a homemaker.  Betty resided in South KC and Belton for much of her adult life.  She raised three children, worked as a bank employee during her working years, and was lovingly referred to as "Mimi" from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert "Bob" West and her son, Steven West.  Betty and Bob enjoyed fishing, teaching the grandkids to fish, and traveling in their RV where they were snowbirds in Corpus Christi, TX each winter.  Betty was known to always have hard candies, ice cream, and root beer on hand and never hesitated to offer all the sugar to the grandkids visiting.  Betty will be missed by her two living children, Teresa Mullens and Dan West as well as her eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Betty knew and let know how she wanted to be remembered, and she opted not to have a formal funeral.  Please join the family in remembering Betty with a graveside service on Thursday, May 2nd at Mt. Olivet (Crucifixion) at 11:00 followed by a luncheon at the Raintree Lake Clubhouse at 825 sw Raintree Dr. Lee's Summit MO 64082.
